Terms of Service
Last updated: June 30, 2026
This is a plain-English summary written for an early beta. It is not legal advice and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. We'll replace it with a formal agreement before a wide public launch. By using the service you accept the terms below.
1. What this service is
The Verified Local Deals Map (“the Service”) helps you discover local retail deals, see a confidence/deal score, and—optionally—verify or save them. Deals are snapshots gathered from automated price/inventory signals, community reports, and admin review. They describe what was observed at a point in time, not guaranteed live inventory or pricing.
2. Accuracy & no guarantees
Prices, availability, and inventory change constantly and may be wrong, stale, or incomplete. We do not guarantee that any deal is accurate or that a store will honor any price. The deal score is a labeled MVP score—a rough, deterministic estimate, not a promise. Always confirm the price and availability in store before you rely on it. You use the Service at your own discretion.
3. System-observed vs. human-verified
We label how we know about each deal. System-observed / admin-approved means our engine detected a signal (e.g., a price drop or local price difference) and an admin approved it for display—no human has confirmed it in store. Community-reported means a shopper submitted it but it has not been reviewed. Human-verified means a person checked it in store and an admin approved that proof. We never label a deal human-verified unless that actually happened. Every deal shows a “last seen” time so you know how fresh the snapshot is; older snapshots are more likely to be out of date.
4. Accounts
Some features require an account. You're responsible for your login and for activity under it. Keep your credentials secure and give us accurate information. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service.
5. Subscriptions & payments
Paid plans (Pro and Hunter) are billed through Stripe. Prices are shown on the pricing page. Subscriptions renew until canceled; you can manage or cancel yours through the billing portal. We don't store full card details—Stripe handles payment data. During beta, features and pricing may change.
6. User-submitted content & proof photos
If you submit a verification, note, or photo, you confirm it's truthful and that you have the right to share it. You're responsible for what you submit, and we may remove or decline to display it. Do not include personal or sensitive information—such as card numbers, names, or addresses on a receipt—in anything you upload. Photo uploads may be turned off during beta; when they are enabled, proof images are stored privately and shown only through short-lived signed links, never on a public URL.
7. Affiliate & sponsored links
Some outbound links may earn us a commission if you buy through them—this never changes the price you pay and does not determine a deal's score. Deals marked “Sponsored” are paid placements and are labeled as such. See the affiliate and sponsored disclosures in our privacy policy and footer.
8. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the Service: no scraping or bulk extraction of our data, no attempts to break security or access other users' accounts, and no submitting false or abusive content. We source deals through compliant, pluggable methods only and expect the same respect for the Service itself.
9. Liability
The Service is provided “as is”during beta, without warranties. To the extent allowed by law, we aren't liable for losses arising from wasted trips, missed deals, prices that weren't honored, or other reliance on the information shown. Confirm everything in store.
10. Changes & contact
We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date. Questions? Contact the operator listed in the app.
